Jennifer: I am a graduate student at The University of North Carolina Wilmington enrolled in an independent study of globalization and the current state of global politics. My research is framed around a lecture series enhanced by student lead discussion groups that address current international issues. The issues on agenda so far include Haiti, the horn of Africa, Nuclear non-proliferation, national security, German ascendancy, the financial crisis and more. The blog is created as a forum to post reflective writing on lectures and student discussion. It is my intent for the blog to support further discussion from public interest in effort to acquire diverse perspectives on political understanding. It is my hope the blogging will support the development of my personal connections with the world in which we live.
